IRB Intro #1 - "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls

"The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls has been praised by many, including my 10th grade English teacher Ms. Torresani, which is the primary reason why I chose this book. It is a memoir about Walls' childhood, and the struggles of growing up with an alcoholic father. I am intrigued to see how she pushes through this hard ship in her life, and hope to use her as a role model that even when times get tough there is still light at the end of the tunnel.
